Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Man with Van Pinner is committed to conducting all aspects of our operations with integrity, transparency, and respect for human rights. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in our business and throughout our supply chains.

We recognise that the transport and logistics sector can be at risk of labour exploitation, particularly in the use of subcontractors, temporary workers, and overseas suppliers. We therefore take proactive measures to identify, prevent, and address any potential risk of modern slavery connected to our services.

Our Zero-Tolerance Approach

Man with Van Pinner has a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms. We do not accept, condone, or knowingly engage with any practice that involves forced labour, child labour, debt bondage, servitude, or any other form of exploitation.

All employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to share this commitment. Any confirmed or suspected breach of this policy will result in immediate investigation and may lead to termination of contracts, reporting to the relevant authorities, and other appropriate corrective actions.

Our Business and Supply Chain

We provide man and van services, removals, and related transport solutions. Our supply chain includes vehicle and equipment providers, fuel suppliers, uniforms and workwear providers, and other service-based partners and contractors who support our operations.

We aim to work only with reputable partners who uphold equivalent standards of ethics and compliance. Our focus is on ensuring that everyone who contributes to our services is treated fairly, works voluntarily, and is paid lawfully and transparently.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We require our key suppliers and subcontractors to comply with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws. We expect them to maintain safe working conditions, fair pay practices, and to prohibit any form of forced, compulsory, or child labour.

To support these commitments, we undertake proportionate checks and audits of our higher-risk suppliers and partners. These may include requesting written confirmations of compliance, reviewing relevant policies, and asking for evidence of right-to-work and employment practices. Where we identify concerns, we work with suppliers to address and remedy the issues. Persistent or serious non-compliance will result in the end of the business relationship.

Staff Awareness and Responsibilities

All staff and regular contractors are made aware of our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and their responsibility to help identify and report concerns. Managers are expected to remain vigilant for signs of exploitation, such as unusual working patterns, signs of coercion, or workers who appear fearful or controlled by others.

We encourage a culture where ethical conduct is valued and where any concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. Everyone working for or with Man with Van Pinner has a duty to uphold our standards and to act if they suspect that someone may be at risk of exploitation.

Reporting Channels

We provide clear internal channels for raising concerns about potential modern slavery or unethical labour practices. Concerns can be raised with a line manager or senior member of the management team. We take all reports seriously, investigate them promptly, and keep information as confidential as possible.

No person will suffer dismissal, disciplinary action, or any other adverse treatment for raising a concern in good faith. Where appropriate, we will cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory bodies to support any investigations.

Continuous Improvement and Annual Review

We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process that requires continuous vigilance and improvement. We will review this Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement annually to assess the effectiveness of our measures and to identify opportunities to strengthen our controls.

As part of this review, we will consider feedback from staff, changes in legislation, updates to industry best practice, and any incidents or concerns raised during the year. Where necessary, we will update our policies, supplier requirements, training, and due diligence processes to enhance our prevention efforts.

This statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Pinner and represents our continued commitment to acting ethically and responsibly, protecting the rights and wellbeing of all individuals connected to our business and supply chain.
